For this expanded medical practice management software suite, the new name was a no-brainer.
Professional Data Services’ comprehensive package that helps medical practices run more smoothly and efficiently on virtually every front is now known as “PDS Cortex.™”
“We like to think that PDS Cortex does a lot of thinking for the staff in terms of office management and timely compliance with regulatory mandates,” said Gary Hobbs, PDS Director of Marketing and Sales.
“With ‘automatic’ and ‘reminder’ features,” he added, "PDS Cortex makes many tasks speedy no-brainers for employees. Of course, the bottom line is maximized returns.”
PDS Cortex is the cumulative result of more than 30 years of practice management software development by this pioneering firm that serves hundreds of clients from Delaware to Oregon.
PDS Cortex addresses the gamut of issues – patient information, insurance, reimbursement, billing, collection, coding, credentialing, compliance and more – faced by a clinic, whether a one-physician office or a large practice with multiple locations.
“I think PDS rivals or exceeds any other vendor in the practice management market space,” said PDS Cortex client Jonathan Nurry, office manager of M3 Healthcare Solutions in Newark, Delaware.
“We continually reassess our systems and carefully monitor the health care field to keep our clients ready and ahead of change. As a result, our clients are fully compliant with HIPAA, insurance, billing, reimbursement and other mandates,” Hobbs explained.
“They are on top of the changing environment that we, as health care providers, live in. We have to follow the mandates, and they help us do that,” said client Larry Muff, office manager of ComCare in Salina, Kansas.
Developers of PDS Cortex include those who have actual experience in medical offices. And, suggestions from customers on new features and udpates are sought regularly by the firm.
“They seem to be better positioned to incorporate enhancements and service requests into future upgrades and releases,” Nurry said. “It doesn’t take two years for you to see the improvement because they seem less encumbered by bureaucracy.”
A full-time support team provides timely response to customer questions and issues. Ongoing training allows clients to fully realize the benefits of software upgrades.
“Customer service has been phenomenal,” said Trish Kinney, office manager of Sports Medicine Associates of Augusta (Ga.). “Their responsiveness has been great. They have gone out of their way.”
The firm also offers Practice Partner,® an electronic health records program.
