Appointment Module – New and Improved

Enhancements in the PDS appointment scheduling module now make it even easier to make, change and keep track of appointments. With the new and improved module the scheduler can:

• View more information on one screen with the enhanced appointment window
  Without having to view multiple screens, the scheduler can access “bill to” and insurance information (including co-pay amount) as well as appointment data. The scheduler also can quickly decline or delete future appointments and determine if a provider has an open schedule.
  
  
• Quickly add or remove time slots in the appointment window
  In the past, modifying a schedule took several steps. Now that process has been simplified. Time slots can easily be added or removed in one step, right on the schedule screen.
  
  
• Create a custom appointment schedule view
  This feature allows the operator to create a custom view of doctors’ appointment schedules. Custom options include defining the views, selecting which columns to display, and defining a group of providers.
  
  
• Add patients to the wait list even if they don’t have scheduled appointments
  In PDS Cortex, the scheduler has always had the ability to add patients to the wait list. However, it wasn’t possible to add patients to the wait list who did not have appointments scheduled in the future. Now, with enhanced wait list, the operator can add patients to the wait list whether or not they have scheduled appointments.
  
  
• Move information easily using "drag/drop" and "copy" technology
  With the click of a mouse, the scheduler can make changes in the appointment schedule. This enhancement makes the process of scheduling and rescheduling much more efficient.
  
  
• Build a complete history of each appointment
  This feature creates a complete history (audit trail) of the appointment from start to finish – who scheduled, rescheduled, voided the appointment and when the changes occurred.
